Product Description
Wouldn't this make a great gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal travel mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can simply grab and go!Great for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel travel mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits most vehicle cup holders. The coffeemaker itself is designed for an on-the-go coffee drinker. It has a permanent filter--no messy disposable paper filters required--and shuts off automatically after brewing. The mug, filter, filter basket, and mug lid are dishwasher-safe, and the coffeemaker can also be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, it measures 9-3/4 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

5 out of 5 stars Money well spent, and saved!   September 3, 2010

This is one of the best kitchen appliances in years at a very reasonable price. I've spent a fortune buying coffee on the go. After deciding to save some money I bought this and have done just that. The Brew 'n Go and 2 lbs of Maxwell House were less than I was spending in two weeks buying out. I'll replace it every year if I have to, as I'm the only Java drinker in the house. I couldn't seem to manage the larger pot makers as well, I'd make too much, etc.

Coffee is done to the perfect temp in 3&1/2 minutes, it easy to clean and the mug is great to go. Money well spent and saved

4 out of 5 stars Coffee quick and easy on the run   September 3, 2010

Not much to say . I set it up the night before get up turn it on then get dressed. On my way out I add my cream and sugar and roll out the door. Its quick. No wasted time or money. I like this coffee maker.

5 out of 5 stars Work horse   August 30, 2010

I bought mine in late 2004. I can't even remember where. It's still going strong. The permanent filter has some fraying, from cleaning, but other than I noticed it, it's not an issue. Every morning while getting ready I start it just before my final bathroom touch up, when finished, I add creamer, snap on the lid, grab my purse and head out the door. It sits in my cup holder and stays warm for the one hour commute. I highly recommend this coffee maker. When mine stops working I intend to buy another. Be careful, if you're sleepy you might forget to put the mug under the brewer. lol I've also forgotten to put the coffee in the basket. I've forgotten to take it altogether, and spent my commute thinking of my delicious cup of coffee, sitting on my kitchen counter without me. :(

3 out of 5 stars First one didn't work. Hassle returning it.   August 29, 2010

I bought this from Amazon. When I got it it worked one cycle---the cleaning cycle. After that it just wouldn't work. I had to send it back to Black and Decker's company (cut off the end of the power cord and send them that only) and then I waited and waited and waited for my replacement to arrive. I did finally get it after about 6 weeks, and I had to pay the postage both directions. I don't remember if I had to pay postage to Amazon to get the first one, but if I did that would have been three times to pay postage for this thing.

The new one works fine. I use it several times a day. There's nothing fancy or elegant about it, but it does do what it's supposed to do. But I can't forget how much trouble it was to deal with the company that I had to return it to, and that will lower my rating.

2 out of 5 stars What happened to Amazon?!   August 27, 2010

The product itself is great, exactly what I need for myself and not waste any coffee. However, I purchased the item from Amazon NEW but the item was open when I got it. There were scratches inside the cup and filter holder. I am very disappointed in Amazon lately (I just don't know how to get the review to them!).
